We will return to the main church on September 15. This will be the first day of Sunday School as well. Parents should escort their child/children to the undercroft prior to the service to complete updated registration forms and receive paperwork as required by the Diocese. As in previous years, there will be a preschool classroom and a school-age classroom. Ages and placements are flexible. Please talk to the teachers regarding appropriate classroom placement. Our curriculum will follow the Lectionary for fall and spring this year.
We are preparing for Confirmation and the Bishop’s visit on October 6. On that date, he will confirm ten individuals into the Church. IN preparation for this big event, the Sunday School students will be practicing music on September 22 and 29 with Miss Lea. Please make every effort to attend church and practice for the celebration of our friends’ commitment to the Church.
October 6 will also be the Blessing of the Animals. Therefore on September 29, following the service, we will again be making animal treats in the third-floor kitchen. All are welcome to come join in the fun!!
If any children are interested in becoming an acolyte, please speak to Dawn Burns or June Bednar.
We will be continuing our Pennies for the People collection this year which benefits the local homeless shelter. To date, we have donated over $300 to this outreach project. Thank you!! No donation is too small!!
