Altar Flowers and Other Memorials

                                             SPECIAL NOTICE
                                                                 regarding
                                     Altar Flowers and other Memorials

Giving flowers, having the sanctuary candle burn, and providing the bread and wine for the Eucharist are traditional ways here at Trinity to remember loved ones who have died and to celebrate and give thanks for the blessings of life.  As we continue that tradition here at the parish we will be making some important changes in how it is organized and administered.  There has grown over the years a sort of master list of when people want to make such memorials.  However, as changes have been made, new people added, and others deleted the list has become less accurate and sometimes only an educated guess.

To sign up for altar flowers, have the sanctuary candle burn for some intent, or to supply the bread and wine for a given month you will do so by taking one of the following steps:

·    Sign-up in the “New” Flowers & Memorials Book that will be on the table in the ambulatory behind the organ console.  There will be a page for each month up to one year in advance.  Fill out the appropriate information for the times you wish to place your memorials and thanksgivings.

·    Sign-up by calling Kristy at the parish office 622-8720 and give her the information which she will then place in the book.

We believe this new format will streamline and make the process of making memorials and thanksgivings more accurate and an easier way for new people to take advantage of this opportunity.

You will also be able to go to the book in advance of the Sunday of your memorial or thanksgiving to be sure the information is correct.

Thank You for your cooperation.
